John Frangie eye doctor in Holyoke MA attended college at the University of Kansas, where he graduated as class valedictorian in 1983, and subsequently attended KU medical school, achieving recognition in Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical School Honor Society.
Dr. Frangie performed his residency at the Boston University School of Medicine, and continued his training as a Fellow at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he specialized in Cornea and Refractive Surgery.
Upon completion of his training, Dr. Frangie was invited to return to the Boston University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology. As Director of the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Service, he trained other surgeons in ophthalmic surgery in addition to publishing numerous chapters and atricles.
